崗位職責(zé): Job Title: Supervisor (MBA+ Program General Administration and Industry Coordination) 科長(zhǎng) (MBA+ 項(xiàng)目管理以及業(yè)界合作事務(wù)) Department：Society Hub, HKUST (GZ) Job Posting Details Formally established in June 2022, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)(HKUST(GZ)) is a cooperatively-run university between the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. HKUST(GZ) has obtained approval from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and become the first legally-independent educational institution co-established by the Mainland and Hong Kong since the announcement and implementation of the “Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and the “Overall Plan for Deepening Globally Oriented Comprehensive Co-operation amongst Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Nansha of Guangzhou”. With a spirit of pioneering innovation, HKUST(GZ) charts new territories in cross-disciplinary education and explores new frontiers in pedagogies, aiming to serve as a role model of the mainland-Hong Kong integrated educational development and become a world-famous high-level university, endeavoring to nurture future-oriented, high-level and innovative talents. In response to the increasingly complex challenges faced by the rapidly changing world, HKUST(GZ) adopts a brand-new and cross-disciplinary academic structure featuring “Hub” and “Thrust” to substitute the conventional one characterized by “school” and “department”, facilitating cross-disciplinary integration while vigorously developing emerging and frontier disciplines. This is a groundbreaking move in the higher education community across the globe. HKUST(GZ) comprises four Hubs, namely Function Hub, Information Hub, Systems Hub, Society Hub and 16 thrusts. The admission of undergraduate students begins in 2023, with the first batch of programs covering artificial intelligence, data science and big data technology and smart manufacturing engineering. HKUST(GZ) is located at No.1 Duxue Road, Qingsheng Hub Cluster, Nansha District, Guangzhou. The campus covers an area of about 1,669 mu (111.3 hectares) and is divided into two construction phases. The first phase covers an area of about 716 mu (47.7 hectares) with a floorage of about 636,000 square meters (63.6 hectares), which had been officially put into use in September 2022. The design of the campus blends natural scenery with architecture, with key cutting-edge technologies for energy conservation and environmental protection adopted during the design and construction process, in a bid to establish the campus as a new benchmark of green, smart and sustainable development. About Society Hub With a core focus on technological innovation that prioritizes human beings, nature, economy, finance, and policy, Society Hub has established four thrust areas: Carbon Neutrality and Climate Change Thrust; Financial Technology Thrust; Innovation, Policy and Entrepreneurship Thrust; and Urban Governance and Design Thrust. Each thrust is centered on different priorities. About MBA+ Master of Business Administration in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MBA+) is a newly approved program by the Ministry of Education. It breaks through the traditional framework of business management education and integrates the cutting-edge interdisciplinary resources of HKUST(GZ) with the established business education system and experience of HKUST. Through project-based learning, the program emphasizes practical training to cultivate two core competencies of students: venture capital thinking and entrepreneurial design thinking. In addition, students will be engaged in in-depth study within the “X” areas such as fintech, sustainability, AI, robotics, and autonomous systems. This will help them develop an integrated interdisciplinary mindset, allowing them to emerge as the next generation of entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders with both professional depth and cross-disciplinary perspectives. The MBA+ program is expected to become a benchmark initiative for cultivating innovative talent for China's overseas investments and for the development of the Greater Bay Area, empowering the region's new productive forces with wings of innovation and entrepreneurship. Key Responsibilities The appointee will oversee the whole administration of the MBA+ program in the Society Hub. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 1. Work together with the Program Academic Director in making academic and program plans, including but not limited to annual budget, marketing, admission, course design and scheduling, and student affairs. 2. Implement the program plans, oversee and manage daily administration, and identify areas for improvements. 3. Supervise administrative staff in the MBA+ program, and provide timely guidance and feedback. 4. Communicate and liaise with other units in the university, invite course instructors and project supervisors; 5. Communicate with industry advisors and companies, for program-related coordination, and 6. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with at least three years of related full-time experience (preferably with management experience); 2. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; 3. Good data analysis skills and proficient in computer operation, including good knowledge of MS Office and Excel Spreadsheet; 4. A strong team player, meticulous and attentive to details; and 5.
