Job Description: Foreign Trade Business Manager
I. Position Overview
Responsible for the overall operation and management of the company's foreign trade business. The candidate should have experience in brand management, complete cross-border and foreign trade operations, and be familiar with the entire foreign trade process. Proficiency in operating Alibaba International, utilizing customer acquisition channels such as LinkedIn and Google, and exhibition marketing is required. The candidate should be capable of independently building and managing an efficient foreign trade team to achieve business growth and brand enhancement.
II. Key Responsibilities(1) Business Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute annual and quarterly strategic plans for foreign trade, setting clear business objectives and sales targets to ensure sustained growth.

Analyze market trends and competitor dynamics, formulating targeted market strategies and business expansion plans based on the company’s brand positioning and product features.
(2) Brand Management & Promotion

Oversee the overall brand strategy for foreign trade, creating brand promotion plans to enhance international brand awareness and reputation.

Align brand positioning and image-building with different markets and customer needs, ensuring consistent brand messaging across channels.

Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute brand promotion activities, such as international exhibitions and online marketing, to increase brand exposure.
(3) Business Process Management

Optimize the end-to-end foreign trade process, including inquiry handling, quotation, order confirmation, production scheduling, logistics, and payment settlement, ensuring efficiency and risk control.

Establish and refine foreign trade policies and operational procedures to standardize workflows and improve efficiency.

Monitor process execution, promptly resolving operational issues to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
(4) Customer Development & Retention

Actively acquire new clients through Alibaba International, LinkedIn, Google, and international exhibitions to expand market reach.

Manage customer follow-ups and negotiations, understanding client needs and providing professional solutions to secure orders.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, conducting regular follow-ups to address feedback and improve loyalty and repeat business.
(5) Team Building & Management

Recruit and build a high-performing foreign trade team, selecting and nurturing top talent.

Design training programs to enhance team members’ skills and professional growth.

Implement a performance evaluation system to motivate the team and achieve business goals.

Foster a collaborative and positive team culture to improve cohesion and productivity.
(6) Data Analysis & Decision Support

Analyze foreign trade data (sales, customer, and market metrics) to support business decisions.

Adjust strategies and optimize resource allocation based on data insights to improve efficiency.

Prepare business reports and summaries, presenting progress and recommendations to senior management.
IV. Qualifications(1) Education

Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in International Trade, Business English, Marketing, or related fields.
(2) Experience

Minimum 5 years of foreign trade experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Proven track record in cross-border or foreign trade operations, with successful brand/project management experience.

Familiarity with Alibaba International’s operations and promotional strategies.

Proficiency in LinkedIn, Google, and exhibition marketing, with a history of successful client acquisition.

Experience in independently building and managing foreign trade teams.
