As a SSD (Solid State Drive) Compatibility Test Execution, you will work with an exceptionally talented core team based in Shanghai, to test and verify SSD firmware for NAND-based mass storage solutions in the enterprise segments. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the US/Singapore based system validation engineers, hardware design engineers, product engineers and Flash memory design engineers to solve cross-functional design issues. Your main responsibilities will include: build up SSD test environment for system level test and being able to check and fix environment issues; kick off the compatibility tests for weekly release and the official FW release; execute test scripts to validate the product’s functional specifications behavior; find bugs through the system level testing; report detected bugs and update report to the project team; working with SSD FW team to replicate and debug the failures; develop simple script/tool to improve working efficiency. Qualifications: Successful candidates for this position will have: - At least one-two years or equivalent experience in software or firmware testing. - English reading and writing skills. - Familiar with working on Windows, Linux Server tests is a plus. - Meticulous and attention to details, patience and passion, strive to ensure maximum test cases coverage. - Clear headed, goal oriented, systematic and methodical approach in software testing - Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team, able to multitask effectively in fast-paced environment. - Experience on script or tool development is a plus. - Experience in test equipment such as logic/bus analyzers (optional but plus). - Knowledge of mass storage systems (hard disk), Flash memory (NAND / NOR), and device drivers (optional but strong plus). - Knowledge of mass storage interfaces such as ATA, SATA and PCIe/NVME (optional but strong plus). - Knowledge of SSD flash translation layer, wear leveling, garbage collection (optional but strong plus).
