Job Description:
1. Basic research of laws and policies and both PRC and non-PRC news;
2. Prepare simple commercial legal documents/emails based on templates (such as NDA, confirmation letters, waiver and release, due diligence instructions to the external service vendor);
3. Draft simple contracts based on templates (such as supplementary agreement, termination letter, revenue collection document, etc.);
4. Draft and revise simple legal contracts based on the guidance provided by legal team and precedent examples (KOL related contracts, standard content production agreement, standard procurement agreement, etc.);
5. Learn and understand policies provided by legal team, e.g., contract policy, compliance policy, and provide advice and response to the questions and comments raised by business team about the policies;
6. Legal document checking before signing;
7. Legal document formatting and cross-reference check, etc.;
8. Helping with legal documents receipt and sending, e.g., courier;
9. Help to fill, organize and systematize all legal documentation kept by legal department
10. Legal document translation (English to Chinese or Chinese to English); 11. Helping on compliance of routine legal and administration works of legal departments, such as document preparation for AIC registration and document copying and filing, company secretarial document filing, annual budget planning, etc.;
12. Helping on managing on-line shared information, such as information upload, information updating;
13. Participate in legal department’s regular meetings; Provide direct support to the legal team as needed for daily work.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree of law at least; Graduates from a reputable law school is preferred;
2. At least 2-5 years working experience as paralegal/legal assistant; Prior law firm experience a plus;
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
4. Excellent listening, reading and writing skills in both English and Chinese and passed the university Level 6 English examination;
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
6. Demonstrate learning agility and quick adaption to changing environment;
7. Ability to work under high-pace working environment independently and take ownership;
8. Good organization skills and able to work under pressure;
9. Familiarity with Word, Excel & PowerPoint and other standard office software;
10. Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills;
11. Able and willing to work in a team.
