We are looking for a Junior Associate with about 2-3 years PQE to join us and assist us in delivering the very best services to our clients. This role offers the opportunity to work in an international environment with a wide range of legal services covering from corporate and commercial matters -primarily commercial contract drafting, foreign investments, corporate and labor matters, and international trade etc.-, to dispute resolution (litigation & arbitration) in collaboration with external Chinese law firms. The Junior Associate will work under the instructions of the Senior Associate (Chinese) and the Partner (a Spanish lawyer) managing the office. § Duties and Responsibilities - Conducting legal research (company law, foreign investment laws, international trade, employment laws, etc); - Drafting commercial contracts, memo, and other legal documents in English and Chinese; - Providing legal advice on FDI-related matters, and handling the administrative formalities for company incorporation; - Participating in legal due diligence and M&A related work; - Translating legal and administrative documents; - Work together with external lawyers for disputes resolution; - Other tasks assigned by the senior associate and partners of the Firm. § Requirements - LLB or LLM degree; - Passed Chinese bar exam; - At least 2 years working experience in corporate/commercial and foreign direct investments areas (working experience in an international law firm is preferable); - Strong communication skills in business and legal matters; - Very fluent in business and legal English, spoken and written (Spanish is a plus); - Self-disciplined, good team player and capable of working independently; - Keen to learn and improve his/her knowledge and skills.
