Responsibilities:
· This individual is responsible for developing and implying global sourcing strategies and supply-base practices that provide best cost products with good quality in support of our Category Team objectives
· Source and identify new suppliers in Pan-Asia to support Category Team objectives for product development and cost reduction. Support the development and qualification of these new suppliers per company standards.
· Manage the global sourcing projects for external customers and help expand the product offerings and grow the business with customers
· Develop and implement sourcing tools and practices to identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities with the supply base.
· Partner with overseas counterparts to measure, document, and communicate Year-to-Date results on cost productivity.
· Participate in defining global sourcing strategy and providing sourcing recommendations to overseas counterparts
· Providing support as directed to resolve operational issues on supplier quality, delivery and regulatory issues.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree with strong engineering or technical background; MBA would be a plus
· Minimum 6+ years’ experience in sourcing with a multinational company
· Experience and knowledge with medical and healthcare industry would be a plus
· Great communication and interpersonal skills and good negotiation skills
· Good project management and problem solving skills
· Excellent bilingual language capability in English and Chinese, both oral and written
· Strong capability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
· Hardworking, Self-motivated, Result-oriented
· Good knowledge on quality, logistics, supply chain and MRP etc.
· Team player, works with others proactively, efficiently and effectively
· Good leadership and management experience
