Task:
Schedule set-up:
Ensure the correct drafting / set up of the discipline schedule with proper resource allocation, task duration and alignment with the total portfolio workload for critical resources.
Update the draft plan based on the feedback from different disciplines and mitigate among the internal milestones.
Align the L3 schedule with the L2 to finalize the plan and import to FHA Master plan.
Schedule Monitor & Control:
Pro-actively and frequently liaise with / consult / meeting with project coordinators on progress.
Bi-weekly meeting with HNL PMs & Planner & Local PMs to ensure the schedule updating if needed.
Monitor the timely release of drawing to signal delays in starting on time.
Monitor LLI on time delivery and make scenarios if need base on different delivery time, regular follow up with L2 planner is needed.
Monitor internal milestones and highlight to PM and Project team if there are risks achieving them.
Work together with the Work Preparator on setting up the L4 BOM planning and monitor its progress.
Several times per week, visit the project in the workshop / quayside / sub-contractors to verify physical progress.
Closely monitor changes in scope due to repairs, modifications or VO’s and ensure the impact is considered in the schedule.
Maintain the schedule basis the information on hours spent, duration and physical progress made for scheduled activities & resources.
Forecast to-go hours for all production disciplines monthly together with Cost Estimation.
Feedback the ready dates of the structures for machining and painting and to update the schedule basis the information on the discipline schedules for both critical and non-critical resources.
Participate in the company portfolio planning and critical resource (discipline) scheduling to ensure project demands get met.
Ensure lessons learned are incorporated from previous mistakes or issues.
Execute other tasks as assigned by Superior and PMs.
Schedule Close Out
Write down lessons learned in different phases of the production planning, including, but not limited to:
- Hour performance (hrs / ton scheduled vs actual) in consultation with Cost Estimation.
- Delays in planned activities.
- Influence from portfolio on project.
- Validation of assumptions used to build production planning.
Save the (baselined) planning files on the project folders for future reference.
Train and coach trainee planning engineer in development.
Responsibilities:
Report to the superior about the risks found based on assessment.
Report the deviation of the progress and provide proposals for the solution.
To ensure the plans to be created and maintained based on company rule/policy.
To manage the critical resource together with related depts./teams.
Ensure that issues on schedule to be reported to Project Manager.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience: Min. 5 years of fabrication planning experience from a similar multidisciplinary heavy manufacturing industry of turnkey products.
Language: Able to communicate fluently (Both oral and written) in Mandarin and in English on relevant planning topics.
Computer: Adequate working knowledge about Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project, FHA and MS Office products (especially Excel and PPT)
Competence:
- Have a clear and present QBQ mindset in day-to-day work.
- Skill in AutoCAD and reading drawings
- Skill in clear and pro-active communication
- Being able to estimate the required hours for scheduled activities
