Job Profile: Purchasing > General Purchasing
Job Summary
This role will be responsible for managing the day to day purchasing activities for a specific work cell. He/She should develop and implement strategic material management initiatives that are in-line with both customer and Jabil business strategies in order to meet customer expectations with most optimized resources.
Responsibilities
- Manage team of buyers focused on delivering best in class performance.
- Material KPI management, ensure KPI are driven and achieved in healthy way.
- Develop relationships with suppliers and customers to understand market trends and influences on pricing and service levels
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including engineering, quality, operations, logistics, and finance to drive results
- Manage day-to-day activities of buyers on team to include mentoring, coaching, training, and development.
- Complete special projects and assignments as requested by manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal English
- Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
